WPA is constantly striving to offer the most up to date testing methodologies available. Molecular testing is no exception. Testing for HPV and other sexually transmitted diseases by PCR (polymerase chain reaction) is the most reliable method available. Most labs offer a one size fits all solution for HPV testing and only offer the ability to detect the presence of HPV DNA in a specimen sample. WPA has taken it a step further. We now offer the ability to identify the specific type of DNA present in each sample. What does this mean for you? It means that treatment can be adjusted on a patient by patient basis to allow for the best possible outcome for the specific type of infection identified.
