Histology

The histology department at WPA performs paraffin tissue sections and H&E stain for routine pathologic examinations. WPA’s histology department also offers STAT tissue processing for same day diagnostic needs using microwave technology. More than a dozen special stains are available upon request, most of them available through Ventana’s Nexus, an automated stainer.

Immunohistochemistry service at WPA provides comprehensive diagnostic antibody panels for a variety of clinical applications. Our pathologist is also available for IHC consultation. WPA utilizes a state of the art, automated immunostainer, Ventana Benchmark XT, to produce a high quality immunostaining for diagnosis of cancers.
